Tracing the shape of a brick, 10 cm wide. A smooth yet irregular shape, washed and transformed by the sea. Wrapped in paper and so I can trace its contour; then scanned.

Signatures in b&w

Patterns and similarities I came across over the last couple of weeks.

Clockwise from top left:
Fingerprint | Tree-rings [source] | Contour lines of a mountain | Detail of a painting by aboriginal artist Warlimpirrnga Tjapaltjarri (see also here). To read on hover the cursor over the images. Click thumbs to enlarge.

update: 19 October 2017
apropos Fingerprints and Tree-rings:
Found Giuseppe Penone’s La mano affondo nel tronco dell' albero
1968 - 1974, at Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, Rotterdam (Sept 2017)
