drawing lines in the space
Grub [ca. 24.5 x 16 x 150cm]
Similar to One to Three and Orbit this small sculpture 'translates' a 2-d drawing to 3-d. Only, instead of small fibres tracing the shape, the form is outlined by threaded lines. This study is based on an oil pastel drawing I made a while ago.
PS: This piece has been sold.
All three 'drawings' mentioned above are currently shown in Process @ Cupola Gallery in Sheffield.

Some views
... of a 'brick' in the air - a broken 'brick's 'hull' drawn with wool and nylon. Pics I made a while ago; not easy to take images in a space that is crammed with 'stuff'...
In the meantime I have been 'drawing' another piece. And all these recent sculptures will be delivered to Cupola gallery in Sheffield tomorrow.
PS: And ... I already hear them - all those voices concerned about dust and how to keep these sculptures clean. If I could I would make these pieces out of dust - like the dusty particles dancing in the sun. For now I'm just curious how the 'woolly drawings' will gain substance by gathering dust.
